Therapy FAQs

  • Do you take insurance?

I believe care should be within reach, and I recognize that navigating our systems often means leaning on insurance to make support possible. I am currently in network with:

    Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO

    Blue Choice

    United Healthcare

If you work with a different insurance provider, I can provide super-bills for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

If you have questions about coverage or payment, please reach out. I’m here to make the process simple, transparent, and human.

  • Do you offer out-of-pocket rates?

I offer out-of-pocket rates for those paying directly and approach financial accessibility with care, transparency, and collaboration.

If you are able to pay the full fee, your contribution helps sustain reduced-rate options and supports more equitable access to care within our community. This model allows us to care for one another collectively.

    Session Rates:

    10-minute Consultation: $0

    55-minute Intake Assessment: $230

    55-minute Follow-Up Appointment: $200-$225

If you have questions about rates or availability, please reach out.

  • Do you offer sliding scale?

To help make therapy more accessible, I offer a limited number of reduced-fee spots for those facing financial barriers. These sliding-scale openings are reserved for individuals for whom the standard rate may be out of reach.

I prioritize access for those most impacted by systemic oppression and financial hardship. For those who prefer not to use insurance, I welcome out-of-pocket payment and am open to exploring flexible arrangements that make ongoing care more sustainable.

If you’re curious about sliding scale options, please reach out. We can discuss availability and explore what support might look like in a way that honors both your needs and your capacity.

  • What are your cancellation and rescheduling policies?

I view therapy as a shared commitment and an act of community care. Your session time is held for you, and with sufficient notice, it can be offered to someone else.

I ask for at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Sessions canceled with less notice are typically charged the full fee, though I waive fees for those navigating chronic illness or unexpected challenges.

I trust there is a shared understanding that as I care for others, I also sustain my livelihood through this work. Together, we hold this balance with care and respect.

  • Where are your services located?

Most services are currently offered virtually, allowing you to connect from wherever you are in Illinois. Online sessions provide flexibility and continuity, inviting therapy into the rhythm of your life and the comfort of your own space. Sessions are held through a secure, easy-to-use platform.

On occassion, I also have office space available for in-person sessions. When the weather allows, I offer outdoor therapy for those who find healing in fresh air and connection with the natural world. This embodied approach weaves the therapeutic process with the grounding presence of the earth around us.

If you’re curious about outdoor sessions, in-person visits, or have questions about virtual therapy, I invite you to reach out. My goal is to make your care experience as accessible, easeful, and meaningful as possible.

  • Do you provide Good Faith Estimates?

In alignment with the No Surprises Act, I’m committed to offering clear and upfront information about the cost of care, especially for those paying out of pocket. If you are not using insurance, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate before beginning therapy, which outlines the projected fees for your journey.

We will review this estimate together during our initial consultation, and you are always welcome to ask questions or request clarity at any point in our work.

If the actual cost of care ever shifts in a meaningful way from the original estimate, I will communicate openly and work with you to ensure billing remains transparent, respectful, and supportive.
